I take pride in the fact that I have a reputation for not having any ‘QUIT’. Quit represents a discontinuation of something. A STOP in motion. A prevention of moving forward. Quit represents a premature EXIT. It exhibits, with rare exception, bad judgement. The idea of starting something and walking away, giving up, withdrawing, kills all chance of success, which is not always measured in a tangible outcome. Sometimes, despite how we may feel, completion is a great feeling. That alone can and should drive us. Feeling good is a non-tangible outcome and should be admired, respected, applauded; by you and those that you are affiliated with. Be recognized for the FINISH.
Something that should be considered when you feel like you have had enough and want to throw the towel in and resign is that most things are temporary. We get involved, we start to feel like this is a bad use of time and what’s the point? Sometimes there isn’t but getting ‘it’ done can prove to be useful….and that can be the point. So, before you decide, for whatever reason to QUIT, try this on for size: Quickly Understand It’s Temporary – Get it done and then move onto Quickly Understand It’s Triumph.
