It’s so easy to identify what we know is bad for us and yet, who can resist an Oreo, a pretzel, some chips, a Snickers or maybe some ice cream with chocolate chips? And as we get older, we recognize that junk food can be that much ‘worse’ for us but there it is, front and center, so we struggle within ourselves and fight the urge to indulge and, as unhealthy as it might be, ENJOY ourselves. It’s good for the moment but maybe not the long game. It tastes so good, but where is the value?

Life can be like JUNK FOOD too. We are surrounded by all this external noise, by inappropriate people, dumb ideas, bad advice, the wrong information, unpleasant ‘things’ and yet we don’t have much choice so we deal with it, we manage it the best we can and when the sun sets, we realize, we made it through another day and hope that tomorrow is a tad quieter than this one. Hope has great nutritional value to help offset some of life’s junk food. It’s important to learn how to filter some of that external noise and work towards the proper balance, the proper intake, and look for the things that as we process and swallow that stuff, we eliminate the bitter taste and feed our head with what matters most; That feeling of expectation, of desire, a belief in yourself and those that mean the most to you and dream of less JUNK that will fill our head and hearts with HEALTHY FOOD.
