Soak it up. Be the sponge. Assimilate, digest it, ingest it, take it all in, familiarize yourself, learn, get a grasp, consume and be engaged.
To fully ABSORB something, you must UNDERSTAND it. Look at the information as you explore and take control of what’s at your fingertips. I make it sound easy, but we all know to do any of this effectively, it takes time, patience, courage and the ability to PROCESS. It requires having an interest in something and coming to an interesting and successful outcome. Absorb requires CONTROL. And if it’s new territory, it will require possible RISK. For many, the CHALLENGE can be fun. No matter what we do, the learning process, the strategy, and the methods we lean on is what makes us the sponge. Being engaged requires your ATTENTION, your ENERGY and possibly shifting priorities. Use your mental consumption and let that guide you as you do absorb knowledge. It can help you self-assess and explore, research and seek best path forward. And if you over saturate, give your brain a squeeze and make room for more things to absorb. We should always retain information but leave some room for more knowledge and wisdom.
