Are you strong enough to take responsibility for what you do? At work, at home, at play, you take action to get through your day. Whether it’s at the office, your house with family or during whatever recreational activity you are participating in – There are consequences for your actions. Sometimes we rise above and do something meaningful, successful, and so impactful, that everyone around you acknowledges a job well done and that ‘pat on the back’ will not only make you feel great – But it will also add value to your team; and that’s what it’s all about. ADDED VALUE. And then of course, there are times when we all screw up. We do something stupid, something brainless, something spontaneous that lacks thought, something so futile that has a negative impact and collapses workflow and can cause damage to a relationship, a project, or the outcome……you know – RESULTS. So, for all we do, there are CONSEQUENCES to our actions. Good or bad. The question is can you take OWNERSHIP for those actions? Do you have the head and heart, the stomach to take hold of what you do and OWN it? It’s not easy, but ACCOUNTABILITY is what drives PROGRESS. If we can recognize our actions and how it affects those we engage with, it will always bring dividends to the shareholders. The benefits of HONESTY and TRANSPARENCY produce a level of INTEGRITY and provides an opportunity to move forward and achieve a sense of PURPOSE. Like a bank account, make sure you deposit what you do with INTENT, merit, determination, clear objectives and above all ACCOUNTABIITY.
