As we continue to move deeper and deeper into the land of ZOOM, we are all learning how to converse, network, engage with family, create business, market, share a few laughs….and tears, manage both large and small meetings, spread a little gossip, exchange ideas, express our love and above all, we are all staying CONNECTED. And, although video and virtual conversations are not new, it has become more and more evident to all of us that we are experiencing a new dynamic in the ‘Art of Conversation’. Tech continues to help us stay attached to all the things we NEED to do. Work, family, friends, relationships are all rooted in dialogue. There is no way to sustain any of these things without some form of communication and these days it’s essential to keep that front and center. It’s so easy to develop a new rhythm and create new habits that might slowly disconnect us from the things that were part of our day to day and now, just maybe we take some of that for granted. DON’T! I repeat – DON’T.

The last thing we should be doing now is disconnecting, pulling back and reduce CONTACT.

The common thread for all of these days is CONVERSATION, CONNECTIVENESS, CONTACT, CONFERENCE, CONVEY, CONSIST, CONDONE, CONFIRM, CONCLUDE, CONSUME, CONTINUE, CONCEPTTUALIZE, CONCENTRATE, CONCENTRATE, CONFIDE and CONNECT.

Conversation should be driving all of us anytime, but now, more than ever, there is a need for all of us to provide access to communications so we can maintain and build relationships. Relationships are, by definition ‘the way in which two or more concepts, objects or people are connected’.

Please don’t minimize the importance of CONVERSATION.
