There are many things that will happen as you experience your Career Sequence.
You will encounter many people. Some good, some bad, some indifferent and they will all offer things that can either help or hurt you along the way. It will be up to you how you process, react and respond to them. How you process will determine which direction you go. Use ‘self-power’ and ‘self-influence’.
Don’t get caught up in all the nonsense. Try to filter the information and make smart choices. Choices that will benefit both you and the work environment you are in. Remember, it’s not always about you. You must consider the bigger picture, and that is where you work and whom you work for.
If you pay close attention, you will observe, learn and find several ways to establish yourself, make a good impression and get noticed. But, be smart and think about the good, the bad and the ugly taking place around you. It might not just be the environment or the conditions – it could be the work you are tasked with. You may not like it. You might even hate it, but you are here and the right thing to do, is make the best of it and get your head around the things that matter most.
The EXPERIENCE you are getting, despite what you think is invaluable. There is always something to learn and that should be your point of focus. What can you take from here that makes you better than when you began is the question to ask? And you will see, if you keep your head in a good place, there will always be some net take away.
People, Process, Protocol, Culture, Time Management, Maturity and Opportunity are the things to key in on and understand they all add up to what is the most important commodity – EXPERIENCE.
So, don’t get stuck on what you can’t control and remember what you can control. ATTITUDE and EFFORT.
