As a career coach and someone that has to process who and what you are, the key is, based on our conversation, to direct you in a practical and purposeful way. Practical in that we need to find a suitable fit and purposeful in that – we need to create a plan that gets you on target, establish your intentions, discover your sweet spot, develop a plan, understand the objectives and ultimately, help you realize your goals.
Along the way, we need to focus and concentrate on the search. What is it that you want to do? How do you achieve it? What is the best approach that suits who you are and your personality? How do you express yourself and feel comfortable?
There is ‘no one size fits all’ solution. This exploratory will take time to find something appropriate.
We all see, listen, hear and process differently. My interpretation is different than yours. I want my clients to be clear – what I think is just that – ‘what I think’. It might not align with your mindset, and that’s fine with me, as ultimately, it needs to be in your voice. This journey you are on, finding a job, has to come from you. I don’t have all the answers – nobody does. The process takes time. My job is to help you through it. I’ll help guide you and together, we will source it, manage it and then the career sequence falls into place.
Solutions that ‘fit’ you will be found. Like going to a good tailor and having a custom suit made. It should fit well and be comfortable. Customize your job search to fit just like the suit. If it fits well, there is pleasure in how you look. You are relaxed and satisfied. The same applies for the career search and career change.
If you manage the job search properly, it falls into place. Just remember – it takes time. And it needs to fit you well.
