There are so many people out there unhappy with their jobs. There are many students about to graduate freaking out about the bridge between campus and career. There are many, because of no fault of their own, that have lost their jobs. Collateral damage is real. Ageism is real. Transition and change are real. FEAR is real. But at the end of each and every day, it’s up to us to look that fear right in the eye, stare it down and FIGURE THINGS OUT. That’s our responsibility. Whatever career fears you hold, own them and plan a strategic course of action so you can move forward. I’m not saying it’s easy – It’s not.  It takes time. It takes courage. It takes a strong mind to overcome fear.

Engage all your resources and map out THE PALN. We all have resources and assets. Identify them, reach out and get a dialogue going. The conversation you create will help you begin to find clarity.  Your resources will help smooth out the rough edges.

Never think of yourself as LOST. When you are lost – You cannot be found and you lose. Better to feel ‘misplaced’ and assess where you are, where you want to be and HOW you are going to get there. Common sense, a clear mind and control of your fear will help get you on your way. Take a deep breath, calm down and DON’T BE AFRAID.
