Leisure isn’t easy these days. Somehow there are always things happening. Happily, I work full time. If you add that into the ‘personal things that must get done’, it doesn’t allow a great deal of ‘me’ time. There are times when I enjoy the occupation of time and there are also moments when I feel pushed to the edge, beyond my boundaries which can often lead to the outer limits. And if not managed well, that becomes STRESS. Stress isn’t a good place to be. One of the best remedies for this will always be a time to disconnect. Time for me, and probably many of you, is essential to create some sort of balance and equilibrium in our day-to-day. I am too focused on putting in the time, being on time, getting things done and I try not to run out of time.
We all recognize how ‘time flies’. It goes so fast. Monday’s turn into Fridays in a blur. It’s so important to make time for the things that feed our head in a meaningful way…..other than work. There are always exceptions. Many people live the deep dive lifestyle at work and are satisfied making the consumption of their clock lead, control and influence their day. All good, but for me, as I have gotten older, I am trying to find LEISURE TIME, TIME TO SPARE, FREE TIME, TIME TO KILL, a way to TAKE MY TIME, and always looking for a TIME OUT. The one thing I really dislike is WASTING TIME. Not productive in any way. One of the few things in life we cannot recover is TIME. When time moves, it becomes the past. We can learn from yesterday, but we do need to focus on today and tomorrow. Relax, rest, slow down, stay calm, and look for ways to create your own DOWN TIME.
