Who needs help being driven crazy? Everyone is very capable of doing that all by himself or herself. We are all good at creating our own anxiety. The easiest way to do it is by OVERTHINKING. You know….when you spend way too much time thinking about stuff that you just cannot let go of. Especially when you know the appropriate thing is to do just that – let go. But this stuff sticks in your belly and you loop it over and over in your mind. You create all kinds of scenarios. What you would say, what you want to say, what they will say, what you will do, what they will do and so on.

Something is on your mind and you continuously think about it, the thoughts get deeper and you begin thinking about the circumstances, results and possibilities that could be. And, in the end……It drives you insane.

We all overthink. How can you not? Different things in our lives, like decisions, regrets, confrontations, self-worth, general worries in our day-to-day lives, our future – there are so many things to get stuck on. We overthink the under thinkable.

We get stuck inside our own head and feel like there’s no place to go. We over analyze.

When we think about something too much, we waste so much energy and time. It’s counterproductive and it generally has a negative affect on you and all that you do. It rarely accomplishes anything and it will drive you crazy.

Almost always, because there exceptions to all things, it is best just to keep it simple and deal with ‘it’ and live with the decisions you make and move on.

Difficult times cause for difficult decisions and that will give reason to overthink.

Naturally, one sometimes thinks about outside advice. Can be a good strategy, but don’t seek too much advice. That will add layers to the thought process and not alleviate an overthink approach. Too many cooks…….

Look to a trusted resource that you know can and will offer good advice to help you sort through the weight.

Most of the time, our gut is a great manager and administrator. It can direct and/or inspire. Listen to it and get things in motion.

Stop overthinking – Take action – get things moving forward. That’s the key.
