Talk time and face time are always a preferred means of communication for me.

How about you?

Today, it’s so convenient and it’s become a standard operating procedure to have dialogue electronically. E-mail and texting are so easy. However, it isolates and insulates a conversation and often to a fault. Body language and eye contact are so important and more meaningful to conversation. There are nuances that you can see and feel from being with someone that get lost in translation when you are tapping away at a keyboard.

It’s often counter productive for the time you think you are saving because we sometimes have to interpret the meaning of what is being said…..on both sides. It can be a dangerous way to converse. Professional and/or personal discussions require focus and thought. Having a heart to heart and exchanging ideas and thoughts can lead to all kinds of issues if you don’t capture the true essence and meaning of what is actually being said. Tone adds texture to a conversation. Body language also speaks in a different voice that can help us keep things moving. It can be very telling for what is really meant. Why should we have to interpret? If you are physically connected to the conversation, you can accomplish so much more and get it done more efficiently and more effectively.

Why get stuck with, I listen to what you say, but I hear what you meant?
If you want clarity, let’s make proper time and talk about it.
