I can mediate, and I can arbitrate between the beginning and the end. No matter how well we plan, stuff does happen, and it will get in the way. It can be discouraging. It can be disappointing. It can be frustrating. Sometimes it is downright intimidating, but we must do whatever is necessary to complete the task at hand. Problems will come and go. We can do nothing but identify what the problem is and look for a reasonable solution. The problem presents a setback, an obstruction, a dilemma, and an opportunity to find the answer. Consider mapping out a problem-solving strategy. Define and own the problem. Visualize it and break it down. Stay calm and see it for what it is – Another challenge. Redefine your problem. Lean into your experience and discover the solution. Creative problem-solving techniques are essential today and in high demand in the workplace. It is critical for success.
