Failure is part of life. It’s part of growth, it’s part of growing up and it’s the pre-cursor to success.
At some point in your life, you will attempt to do something and you will FAIL In the process, you let yourself down and maybe others too.
However, should you take an intelligent step back, do a temporary retreat and review what you did, how you did it and what the results were, you can really assess and gain great value from the experience. It’s the best way to LEARN. Your self experience, your self-evaluation become the best teacher and when you attempt again, you find the process easier, more rewarding and the outcome should give you triumph.
Always think about pushing yourself forward. Test yourself. Challenge yourself. How else can you improve? If we don’t try and press to advance, we never create an opportunity to fail.
When you get your first job or a new job, the priority should be to establish yourself, initiate ‘peer partners’ and avoid ‘peer pressure’. Make some noise and let them know who you are, but don’t get too loud. Pace yourself, find the rhythm and be pro-active about your responsibilities. And, know going in that you might just make some mistakes along the way. Clearly, we want to avoid breakdowns and failures, but it happens and when it does – relax, process and LEARN. The experience of failure can be a very valuable lesson.
