There is nothing like SUPPORT. Having someone to ADVOCATE on your behalf can be one of the most empowering things in the world. We all have moments in our professional and personal life that paralyzes us and when you have a support system in place that you can turn to for advice, solace, a shoulder to lean on, a place to vent, a set of ears that will listen to you and offer you a comfort zone – Well there isn’t anything like that.

As a Senior Career Coach, I have students, clients, family, and family friends that come to me all the time. I like being a comfort zone for these people. I hear them. I listen to them. I process for them and then we talk it out. I ask questions. I get inside the problem. I identify, for them, what seems broken and then I help them fix it. It’s a meaningful role to have and I never take it lightly.

My job is to provide some sense of forward movement and help build enough self-esteem to get them back on track.

It is a great luxury to have that ‘go-to’ person. It’s an awesome feeling when you can reach out and get encouragement from someone that believes in you and when we are in need, sometimes we do lose sight of who we are and what our purpose is.

When we are stuck in our own little hell, it’s good to step outside of that and deal with it. But sometimes we just can’t get out of our own way. It’s common. Doesn’t matter how strong we are, everybody needs support.

Look for a pragmatic path. Utilize the POWER of PARTNERSHIP
