You are looking for a job. Maybe it’s your first stab at the job market and it’s an entry level gig you want/need. Perhaps you are someone with deep experience and for whatever your reason(s), you need to move on or maybe you are thinking about a career change and the time feels right, so you are exploring and hoping to find an appropriate place to land. Any of these scenarios should prompt you to create a plan, a course of action that enables you to look ahead and think about your ‘what’s next’. It requires great thinking. It requires invested time that should involve research and allow you to get a grip on your intention. Planning and having objectives is the road you travel. If, you don’t have purpose driving you, you have no place to go. The key is to have an understanding so that when you do begin the search, your journey and transition, you have access to a clear road ahead. All that said – it takes time, so take your time. This is not a sprint, it is a process and I encourage you to walk, not run.
