While you develop your career and begin the long journey forward, it’s not uncommon, especially for young job seekers to land in an environment that doesn’t quite scratch their itch. It can happen, so what do you do?

You make sure that while you are there, you maximize your experience; you invest in yourself, always put out, establish yourself and get an education. There are always things to learn. If you leave any job without some NET TAKE-AWAY, shame on you. You are making a terrible mistake.

Leaving will become your primary directive, as being unhappy at work is not healthy and it will, in the long run, offer no long term solution for you or your colleagues – so as you continue doing the best you can, you will look at options, begin to create an exit plan and try and make a move.

The key is to insure that you have taken something with you. EXPERIENCE is what you gain and that experience is the key to open the next door and doors should be seen as opportunities.

There is always something to make you better/smarter. Don’t allow a ‘dog’ of a place get the best of you. EXPERIENCE will always be a transferrable skill. So, when you determine that your job is a drag, a real dog, then begin to research and explore the marketplace and get yourself out.
