An expression of gratitude, appreciation, relief, recognition, acknowledgement, approval, comfort, respite, soothing, healing, recreation, reassurance, liberation, FREEDOM and feeling good.

Thanksgiving seems to be the dedicated day to feel and experience all of the above, but wouldn’t it be cool if we said everyday was Thanksgiving and we didn’t rely on a single special day to give thanks for all we have.  Let’s not measure the goodness in all with one day.

Look around you, take it all in and be satisfied with what you did today and will do tomorrow. Be gratified with who you are, those that you know and those you love.

Consider ALL the people you engage with each and every day and recognize how lucky you are to be a part of their lives and having them as part of yours.

There is a calm to this kind of thinking. Albeit large or small it should please you to know you are the lucky one to have some goodness in your life. Enjoy it. Embrace it and don’t use one day to do it. DO IT EVERYDAY. Find time to appreciate that goodness. We all have issues and problems to manage. No one is exempt. And despite it, we MUST take a step back, look around and see what really matters – Our friends, family, co-workers, colleagues, teachers, mentors, our faith, vendors, local merchants, health, our pets and the simple things. They are the constant in our lives that make a difference. I value each and every one of them each and every day. Everyday is ‘Happy Thanksgiving’.
