Not only do you want to keep it, but you want to manage it, leverage it, and make it work for you. I’m not talking about any spiritual or religious stuff – I’m talking about all the people that are struggling with finding or securing a job. I am talking about those of you that are currently working at a job you don’t enjoy and would love to leave. I’m talking about those INSPIRED folks out there that want or need to make a career pivot. All of this takes COURAGE. It takes mettle, backbone, and a sense of self that allows you to walk the walk and talk the talk. Determination and commitment will drive it. Are you willing to do what is necessary to push your professional self FORWARD?

You look at your network, your relationships and all the RESOURCES you have and get organized so that when you are ready to make your move, you are good to go. We all have meaningful resources. For the college students, you have a career center – I implore you to schedule an appointment – They can and will help. And as all of us; we have friends, family, friends of family, peers, colleagues, alumni connections, the internet – make that list and begin to reach out.

Explore the market you are interested in. Learn, become fluent in that market. Have FAITH in yourself. TRUST yourself. Find the CONFIDENCE in yourself. Embrace your backstory and tell it. Be RESILIANT, hopeful and resourceful. You can do it.

Just stay the course and KEEP THE FAITH.
