Unfinished represents a variety of things. It can be something that needs to be completed, an achievement, a conclusion, closure, or an END. At the end of a movie, when the director yells, ‘that’s a wrap’, then you know you are FINISHED.
If there is an open timeline, then we can work at our leisure, at our own pace, and manage it as we choose.
Perhaps you are working on a project, a creative piece, a novel, your garden, a new plan at work, or a relationship that needs some attention. If we let ‘it’ hang, then it remains ‘unfinished business’. The longer it grows, it begins to fester, develop, ripen, and eventually rot. Once that rot hits, UNFINISHED BUSINESS can take its toll on our minds, and it can begin to spoil. If it were fruit, we would toss it!
Chronic neglect solves nothing. You prolong the inevitable. At some point, the unresolved begins to win. It finds a deeper home in our mind, our heart, and it will certainly impact our lives, our relationships, our feelings, and experiences. Like change, unfinished business needs to be addressed. If we let that manage us – We are toast. Somehow, some way, we all need to find, within our core, the strength, the ability to manage it, close the door, and move on. Consider the ‘stuck points’, find your personal WD-40, and lubricate your UB so you can move on. Unfinished is exactly that – UNFINISHED.
