This time of year, I hear a lot of people talking about the ‘PAUSE’ so we can dial down stress, strife, strain and the daily stuff that gets in our way, causing tension, apprehension, and pressure. We tend to let the small things build and gather too much momentum. It takes more space in our head and heart than it should, but it is human nature.

And, so it goes, we get to Thanksgiving and begin to look through a different lens that pushes us, almost forces us to STOP, look around and recognize all the things that we can be thankful for. With rare exception, we can all find something to be grateful for. Whatever gets us to take time to consider the good things in our lives, leverage it, give it a ‘good think’, and enjoy the feelings it can provide. Lean into all of that. It offers a great opportunity to disconnect, assess, evaluate…..and REFLECT.

We are all images of some kind. Reflection is a great way to look at our interior mirror and see where we are in the ‘now’ and give us the time to see who and what we are, what we have and allow us the space to sit back and appreciate it. Look at your yesterday and learn from it but focus your energy on tomorrow. Fulfillment is all about knowing who we are and looking forward. Embrace and celebrate the day, your family, your friends, your colleagues, your companions, your significant other, your partner, your accomplishments, achievements, your abilities, your skills, your success, and failures. Take it all in. Absorb all of this. Chew on it. Digest it and let it run through your system and enjoy how it feels. Reflect today and every day.
