Although not as common today as it was many years ago, the expression, ‘daylight at the end of the tunnel’ was always a way to keep things positive, hopeful, and optimistic. When something turned bad, when ADVERSITY got in your way, if you are struggling with something and thought, no way is this going to work out, it wasn’t uncommon to hear, ‘hang on, there’s daylight at the end of the tunnel’. It will get better. The tunnel represents darkness. Our job in life is to always look for the best path forward. It won’t always be easy. Challenge is always going to play a role in the things we do. Our strategy should always be to consider how to make it work, how to minimize the pain, how to decrease, reduce the sting and move on. Mindset can and will establish how smooth or rough that journey will be. Just remember, a tunnel is an artificial passage that connects one thing to another. It’s often the ONLY way to get there, and when it’s dark, at some point you will emerge and see DAYLIGHT. We want the bad situation to come to an end. Embrace the daylight at the end of your tunnel.
