I’m an inventor. My job, on a daily basis, is to create and re-create. It starts with, not unlike an architect or a builder – a plan. You get that in place, and like a writer, begin to pen the story. It has the beginning, the middle and of course the end.

The difficult thing is to remain productive and be creative on a regular basis. It’s exhausting – but necessary to do. By the way – the end is always the goal – that’s what should drive you.

Like science, it’s cool to experiment. Be visionary in your approach. The objective is to achieve results that bring meaning into your life as well as those you represent and align with. The outcome, the product you produce is the success with which you will be measured. That perception is how you market and present yourself. Deliverables is a common way to make that evaluation. If you deliver – you are a success.

As an inventor, I see myself as a builder, an innovator, and the maker of things. My favorite thing to build is the bridge.

The bridge is the connection between 2 obstacles. People, places and things. The purpose of the bridge is to provide a safe, efficient passage and a good way to get you from here to there.

It becomes the extension, the link, the objective and the purpose. My job as the inventor is to create a way to make the journey feel right and help you navigate across.

It doesn’t need to be an adventure. If you have a good itinerary, a good compass and a map – it becomes a pretty good ride. The itinerary is the plan, the compass is the direction and the map is the guide to execute the plan. Have a safe trip.
