So the bad news is you messed something up at work or maybe at home.

Either way – not the end of the world. At least, I hope not. We all screw up.

That’s part of the package when you get your butt out of bed everyday.

In fact, the biggest screw up would be to lay in bed all day feeling sorry for yourself because you did do something wrong. Get up, get moving, get motivated and move on.

Best way to get on with it is to take ownership and make it right. If a high level of intolerance surrounds you, then it will be difficult to overcome the mistake with support and understanding. However, the 1st objective after recognizing a mistake is, how do we fix it? How do we find a solution? How do I learn from it and not do it again. That should be the net take away. Solutions are a way out that enables us an opportunity to seek a new resolution that will finally offer successful results.

That’s what we all want to achieve – results. A process that allows us, even after a mistake occurs, to deliver without a lot of nasty consequence, a finished product that works and targets the goals we have placed in front of us – right?

If you are lucky enough to be surrounded by understanding team players, good managers and people that exhibit tolerance, they will instinctively mentor you through the re-do and help smooth out the rough edges. After all, the objective is to finish by maximizing time efficiency and deliver. No more – no less. However, at the end of the process, you have learned a great deal and probably become a better worker and better person from the oversight that was made.

That’s the good news. But the best news is, a bad day can only last 24 hours. Tomorrow is a new one.

Have a great day!!!!
