Need help – ask for it.

There isn’t a successful person out there that didn’t get some assistance along the way. Self-made comes from selfless behavior. Not just on your part, but from others that you are aligned with. Personal or professional relationships, which are your community, can be a resource and an exchange agent for both. Learn to use that, but don’t abuse it.

However, be cautious, because not everyone can or will help you. You can set yourself up for huge disappointment and that can hurt. The bottom line is – the worst thing anyone can do is say – NO. Let it go and move on. Don’t get stuck on NO. It only slows you down. It’s counter-productive. Keep your eye on the target. Stay on task. Maintain your intent and the business at hand. Keep yourself in a positive place and work ‘it’ and when it’s appropriate ask for guidance. Ask for help. Ask for assistance.

Most people will step up and try and give you something. Take it with gratitude and always remember that someday you might get to repay the favor.

Support YOUR community.
