How many times have you either said or heard, ‘time is a great healer’? For most of us, the answer is often. We all have moments of pain. It could be our own or might be the pain of someone we are close to, and as they choose to share some of that, we MUST listen and offer some guidance. That’s why they share? They trust us. Consciously or not, they are in pain and looking for help. Pain comes in so many shapes, sizes, degrees of difficulty, and levels of hurt, but at the end of the day, it must be identified and addressed. Time will always play a role in the healing process.
As we work on the pain, we begin to recognize a better way forward, which will always take time. Leverage that. Manage it. Use the time to process and find the way(s) to diffuse the pain and find solutions, remedies, cures, and restorative therapy, allowing us a chance to find some clarity. Much of this comes down to revising and reforming – We need to make improvements.
Feelings of hurt, sadness, disappointment, suffering, distress, letdown, rejection, frustration, disconnect, and regret will gradually disappear as time passes.
Time is the common denominator. Time can run fast. It can get the best of us, or we can limit distractions, lean into what ails us, set some goals, and consider the next steps. Mindset will help find the new approach and create the action plan. Whatever strategy you use, it will always take TIME.
